DoppelGamer | How to Rip your Xbox 360, Wii and PS3 Games

If you’re looking rip and create backups of your Nintendo Wii games there are several different ways of doing this. First off, this is not illegal as long as you have the game you are trying to rip and backup. Using a regular DVD burner without any specialized software to rip Wii games is not possible. Wii games have special protection that prevent consumers from ripping them. Soon, I’m sure that copying Wii games will be as common as burning DVDs or even CDs. Still, it is a very easy task to do.

The easiest no nonsense way of ripping Wii games is to purchase some software to decrypt and burn Wii discs. I have yet to find freeware that can do this task but the price of this ripping software is half the price of a Wii game, so it isn’t that bad. Anyway, check out Easy Backup. There are other programs but this one I found to be the easiest to use and works for Xbox 360 and PS3 too.

Another method is purchasing a DVD burner that is specially made for ripping and burning Wii games. Check out the LG GDR 8164B I don’t prefer this method because you need to spend money on an external burner. Also, there is a way to rig your external burner to make it think that it’s burning a regular DVD. The process is a little less than I deal since you have to dismantle your burner.
